SOMATIC SEX EDUCATION with Brigid Blackstone
Come back to the wisdom
of your body.
Embodied, educational work for people of all genders and orientations — a place to meet yourself with more choice, sensation, pleasure, and compassion.
There are many ways to arrive here:
-
You may feel cut off from your body, your sexual self, or both. We begin by noticing what you feel and what your body is communicating.
-
Shame around sex and pleasure is common, and it does not mean anything is wrong with you. This is a place to meet it without judgment and begin relating to yourself differently.
-
You may have spent years feeling uncomfortable, numb, or far away from yourself. We practice slowing down, listening, and being with your body as it is.
-
Your desire may feel distant, confusing, or changed. We make space to explore sexual energy, sensation, and pleasure without pressure to perform.
-
You may not know what kind of touch you enjoy or what brings you pleasure. This is a practice space for finding out, at your pace and in your own body.
-
Consent is something you can feel, not just conceptualized. We practice noticing yes, no, and maybe, and communicating each one clearly.
-
Naming a desire or sexual need can feel vulnerable. Here, you can practice making clear requests and expressing what you don’t want, too.
-
We may cross many thresholds in a lifetime and emerge different on the other side in new chapters. The death of a partner, menopause, leaving a high-control religion, injury or disability changing your body, navigating depression, becoming a caregiver, starting medication, coming out later in life… and the list goes on. What felt familiar may no longer fit. This is a place to explore and discover who you are, sexually, now.
-
You may be post-breakup, choosing celibacy, or carrying complex trauma — and interpersonal relationship may not feel like a safe place to explore your sexuality right now. A clearly held professional relationship can offer the steadiness to begin at a pace that respects your boundaries. It can be practice for dating or lovership again, or simply a way to know yourself more deeply.
All new clients begin with a 15-minute consultation online via Zoom.
This is a short meet-and-greet to get a sense of one another, state your intentions or goals, and see how I might support you. It’s not a session or a space for deep personal processing — simply a chance to connect and ensure the fit feels right.
When you Book Consultation, you’ll be prompted to complete an intake form — this form appears automatically within the booking process and helps me prepare for our consult. The intake gives me a bit more information about you before we meet.
If we’re not the right fit, I have an incredible referral list of fellow Somatic Sex Educators and I’m happy to point you toward someone who might be.
Some folks discover through our consultation that what they really need is to talk. If you're looking for verbal coaching or education, I have an incredible referral right here on the island.
YOUR FIRST SESSION
We begin by building the ground beneath us.
The first session is spacious, conversational, and embodied. It gives us a shared language before touch is introduced later in your arc.
-
We settle, orient, and name what brings you.
-
A somatic assessment helps us notice how your body speaks.
-
We explore yes, no, maybe, and the foundations of the Wheel of Consent.
-
Together, we choose the practices and pace that fit your intention.
Most people choose an arc of sessions,
allowing space for the work to unfold over time.
What does the work look like:
Explore Possible Pathways
-
For numbness, overwhelm, or feeling far away from your body.
-
For strengthening choice, voice, and embodied consent.
-
For practicing rest, request, touch, and being met.
-
For exploring desire, sensation, and sexual wholeness.
I also offer online masturbation coaching — a separate offering from my SSE practice. Learn More
